Why should I join?
Answer
Although the AAMET is not a Regulatory Body, we are a Professional Association which means we aim to improve the training standards of EFT and raise the quality of practitioners. Without this, trainers may not have the relevant experience to teach you or the content of the course may be of poor quality. Also, although most Trainers are honest and above board, there are those who have never actually attended a class of any sort, gaining their skills by distance learning or, worse, simply by reading a book. In other words, they accredit Students to practice on an individual's mind with no practical experience, no official body to support them - and often with no professional insurance. If anything goes wrong, therefore, it might prove difficult to obtain adequate compensation.
The AAMET seeks to resolve most of these issues by ensuring a unified standard of training and adherence by the practitioners of a strict code of ethics that is designed to protect both the public and practitioners. It means that members of the public can check to see if their practitioner is listed and they can write a formal complaint in the event of a breach of ethics.
We are on a steep learning curve but we aim to stand out above the rest of the trainers and practitioners with regard to the standards of EFT Training and quality of practice. Here are just some of the benefits:-
